It is certainly odd to think that a plant can be carnivorous, but the pitcher plant is just one of several varieties in nature. These plants have found a clever way in which to survive in a nutrient depleted environment by luring their guests with either a tasty nectar or scent that is irresistible to their unsuspecting prey.
