Description
The Scarlet Ibis is closely related to the Spoonbill. They are long-lived, 16 to 20 years. Not bad for a bird with little to defend themselves. Because of this, they are sociable flock birds with safety in large numbers. The coloring is so striking because the wing tips are black. This is the national bird of Trinidad.
